iPad influenced design

The iPad is going to fundamentally change website design. I've noticed a few sites popping up that reflect this. Pinterest was the first that I noticed. I just heard of this site called CowBird.
When I look at these sites, I think about the iPad.
Clicking on a big square is a lot easier than clicking on a few words. The pointer of a mouse is way more precise than a finger.
Lots of people have bought and will buy iPads. Apple is about to make TVs. Windows 8 has a touchscreen instead of mouse.
I think more and more sites, especially news sites, will start to look like this.
